Q. How will an ATM cash machine benefit my business?

An ATM cash machine in your business will attract new customers and increase the amount of cash that is spent in your premises. Depending on the type of business the average increase can be 12% to 80%. In addition, by offering discount coupons you are also able to encourage additional customer spending. This is easily achieved by ìcouponingî the cash receipt.

Q. How will I save any money?

You will save on bank charges. With an ATM cash machine you will be banking your cash electronically. The amount of money that is withdrawn from the machine, by your customers on a daily basis, is credited to your bank account at no charge. The deposit shows up in your account within 3 banking days. In addition, you will also save on debit and credit card charges and the time that these transactions usually take. This gives you and your staff more time to sell your products and services.

Q. What cards can be used in the ATM cash machine?

Our ATM cash machines accept all LINK debit cards, Diners Club, American Express and Visa. Our machines are also totally up to-date and Smart Card ready. This upgrade ensures that the machine is ready to provide any additional products and services as and when they become available.

Q. How do I make any additional revenue from the convenience fees?

Each time a customer withdraws cash from the machine they will pay a convenience fee usually set at £1.50. According to your eezyCash program you will earn a portion of this fee. Revenue from the convenience fees can add considerably to your bottom-line income and will more than cover the on-going costs of the machine.

Q. How and when will I get paid my part of the convenience fee?

Convenience fees are settled on a monthly basis 15 days after the end of the month. You will receive a report that identifies the amount of successful transactions in the month and you will receive a corresponding payment.

Q. How secure is the ATM cash machine?

The cash is secured in a "day rated" safe and the ATM cash machine is bolted to the floor. After you close your business we strongly recommend that you remove the cash dispenser from the ATM cash machine and put it in your main safe leaving the ATM cash machine open. In addition, we provide a sign that can be put on the machine that states, "Only £500 pounds are kept in the ATM" and "the ATM is emptied at night".

Q. How much cash do I need to fill the machine?

Although the machine can hold over £20,000 you only need to keep the machine filled with approximately £1,000. After 6-9 weeks you will be able to recognise your machines individual transaction pattern and you will 'cash flow' the machine accordingly. Based on the average cash amount withdrawn (£50) you will dispense approximately £15,000 per month based on an average of 300 monthly transactions.

Q. What if the ATM cash machine breaks down?

The ATM cash machine is monitored by an on-line management system 24 hours a day and supported by a 24-hour help line. Should the machine break down our service technicians will remotely perform a series of service checks and identify the fault. If the fault requires a service visit one of our specially trained technicians will attend your location and remedy the fault within 24 hours. It is important to us that your machine is working to its full potential.

Q. A customer complains that they did not get all the money from the machine but their receipt shows that the money has been withdrawn from their bank account. What do I do?

In the unlikely event of this happening the responsibility is with LINK, the banks and the building societies that regulate ATM cash machines. The customer should be told to speak to their bank who will be able to trace the transaction through the LINK network and resolve their problem.
